To become a voting member of the PAC, you have two options. 1) if you are coming on Saturday, bring your $25 check with you. 2) if you cannot make it on Saturday, but still want to join and help us with our financial goals, mail a $25 check to Muskogee Tea Party PAC, P.O. Box 123, Muskogee OK, 74402.

I will email out copies of the proposed bylaws tomorrow, and will have additional copies at the meeting. Hope to see you there! If you would like to join our email list, send an email to MuskogeeTeaParty@gmail.com.

If you would like to sign our petition asking our Senators and Congressman to author or coauthor legislation to repeal the Obama/Pelosi/Reid healthcare bill, the petition will be at Club Lunch tomorrow (Friday), from roughly 11:30-1:30. Club Lunch is located at 3rd & Broadway, in downtown Muskogee.

Every Friday, a group of local conservatives meet for a lunch gathering at Club Lunch, in the back of the restaurant. The first person typically shows up around 11:30, and the last one leaves at about 1:30, with people dropping in and out between those times. This is a great way to plug in with the conservative activists in Muskogee.

If you cannot make it to Club Lunch tomorrow, the petition will be at the offices of R&D Medtech in Muskogee (300A W. Shawnee – next to El Chico) during regular business hours until next Thursday, the 29th, when we will send it to our congressional delegation.

If you were not at the Muskogee Tax Day Tea Party, below is a copy of the wording on the petition:

The Muskogee Tea Party Petition Drive to Encourage Our Federal Representatives to Author and/or co-sponsor Repeal of New National Health Care Program

The American people are appalled that the Obama Administration, 219 Democrats in the House of Representatives, and 56 Democrats in the United States Senate flagrantly disregarded the overwhelming will of the people and passed government-controlled national health care.

Despite strong, consistent and vocal opposition from millions and millions of Americans like you, the leaders we entrusted to protect our Constitution turned their backs on the people and our rights and instead voted with Washington’s liberal elite ruling class.

This cannot stand.

We urge you to sign our petition and join forces with our fellow citizens who want to repeal ObamaCare and replace it with the responsible reforms our healthcare system needs and that the American people want.

Petition to Repeal Obama Healthcare

WHEREAS the health care bill recently passed by the United States Congress and signed into law by President Obama ignores the will of the majority of Americans who vigorously oppose government controlled national health care, and

WHEREAS this law includes an unprecedented overreach of the federal government into the personal lives and liberty of individuals and tramples on the Constitution, and

WHEREAS this law threatens the patient-physician relationship and the highest standards of medical care, and

WHEREAS this law mandates that citizens either purchase health insurance or pay a fine to the federal government for not doing so, and

WHEREAS this law significantly jeopardizes jobs, our economy and our children’s futures by adding nearly one trillion dollars to the national deficit and substantially increasing taxes on families and businesses,

and

WHEREAS in sum and total this law represents an arrogant disregard for the personal freedom of the people of the United States,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that we the undersigned citizens of the United States of America support the repeal and replacement of this law and encourage our any other efforts to repeal this Healthcare reform.

Paid for by the Muskogee Tea Party.
Not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.
